Needle Guide

Understand needle tip geometry, curvature and length before choosing an option.

Needle tip geometry describes the point and body design that enter and pass through tissue.

Reverse Cutting

Triangular body with its cutting edge on the outside of the curve, providing strength and resistance to bending. PRECISION versions use a thinner, sharper tip.

Reverse Cutting PRIME

Long cutting profile with a rectangular body, narrow point, fine wire diameter and fine taper ratio.

Conventional Cutting

Triangular body with its cutting edge on the inside of the curve. PRECISION versions use a thinner, sharper tip.

Conventional Cutting PRIME

Square body for stability and control, with a cutting edge intended for clean tissue penetration.

Taper Point

Round-bodied needle with a smooth tapering point that separates tissue fibres instead of cutting through them.

Taper Blunt

Round-bodied needle with a blunt tapering point designed to separate tissue fibres rather than cut through them.

Taper Cutting shown as “Taper Cut”

Round body tapering to a fine point with a short cutting tip, followed by smoother passage through tissue fibres.

Spatula Cutting

Flat needle with a spatulated tip and cutting edges on its upper and lower surfaces for controlled passage through delicate layered tissue.

The brochure does not separately define Taper Point PRECISION or Taper Point PRIME. Those picker labels use the general Taper Point description above.
