The Medasil Silicone Bite Guard is a single-use mouthpiece designed to protect teeth and oral tissues during procedures requiring oral access. It fits securely over the teeth before and during anaesthesia induction, intubation, endoscopy, and other intra-oral procedures. It also helps protect loose teeth during anaesthesia and resuscitation.

Manufactured from biocompatible silicone elastomer, the bite guard is latex-free and phthalate-free. It is coloured blue for easy visibility and contains Barium Sulphate (BaSO₄), which may assist with X-ray visibility. Co-designed with theatre personnel, it is available with or without cotton tape for additional fixation. Measuring 52 mm × 46 mm, it can be trimmed between the ribbon holes for a customised fit. Designed for short-term use of up to 29 days, it is supplied as a single-use device in sterile or non-sterile individually wrapped pouches, with 20 per box.
