A vacuum-set patient positioner that relieves pressure on the skin over bony prominences to reduce pressure-injury risk. It makes it easy to form and hold the neck in hyperextension during thyroid surgery and keeps the patient comfortable during the procedure. Also suitable for patients with cerebral palsy.

How to use 1. Select the appropriate vacuum positioner based on the patient's positioning requirements and the procedure. 2. Inspect the product, valve and connections for damage or air leaks before use. 3. Place the positioner beneath or around the required body area and mould it to achieve the desired position. 4. Connect the suction device to the valve and remove air for approximately 15 seconds, or until the positioner becomes firm and maintains its shape. 5. Disconnect the suction device and ensure the vacuum is maintained, with the patient securely and comfortably positioned. 6. After use, release the vacuum using the valve to allow air back into the positioner, returning it to a soft, flexible state.

Precautions - For use by trained healthcare professionals only. - Inspect before each use. Do not use if damaged, punctured, deformed or unable to maintain a vacuum. - Ensure the positioner is correctly moulded to the patient without creating excessive pressure or discomfort. - Avoid contact with sharp instruments or edges that may puncture the outer surface. - Check that the valve is securely closed and the positioner maintains its shape throughout use. - Clean and disinfect according to the manufacturer's instructions. - Store in a clean, dry environment after use, away from potential sources of damage.
